Dance Classes

  

 

Polka Dot Entertainment Dance Classes are a no fuss, no frills, one hour of solid fun dancing and games. Dance classes are only held at Polka dot Altona Meadows 99 Victoria Street for 2012 on Tuesday & Wednesdays.

You will never be asked to sew a sequin, apply make up, worry about fancy and expensive costumes. Just turn up each week and allow the kids to enjoy the class. There will be no big fancy concert at the end of year, just a nice simple little show case where the kids will perform a little dance or two to show you what they have been learning. There is no pressure on the kids to perform just lots of dancing and some games as well to add to the fun. Showcase performance will be held on the last class of Term 2 and Term 4.

Term 1 is an 8 week term commencing on Tuesday 7th February through to Wednesday 28th March. See below for more term dates.

Fees:

Term 1 is an 8 week term and costs $80. Payment in full is required to avoid your teacher worrying about monies during valuable dancing times. If you come mid term your fee will be calculated as to how many classes are left. We accept visa, mastercard, eftpos, cash or cheque payable to Polka Dot Entertainment.

Classes:

Tuesday 5.30pm-6.30pm ages 6-8 years

Wednesday 4.20pm-5.20pm ages 4 & 5 years, no 3 yo sorry

Wednesdays 5.30pm-6.30pm ages 6-8 years

If one of the class times suit you more than another, but your daughter age is different that is fine. The ages for class times is a guide as I know many of the girls who have been dancing with us for 2011 would like to be together. A maximum of 10 students in each class only.

Teacher:

Your teacher for 2012 is Miss Katie. Miss Katie is new to Polka Dot for 2012 and we feel she will become a valuable member to our team. Katie lives locally in Williamstown, and has many years of theatrical and dance experience. Katie currently studying for a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and is involved in the Altona Theatre production group.

What to wear:

Polka Dot dance is a no fuss no frills dance class which also means no set uniform. We suggest if the children do not have a little pair of dancing shoes, bare feet are much better as opposed to socks as they are too slippery. Also please don't wear enclosed toe tights with no shoes, once again it is too slippery on the floor. So if in doubt please bring along the shoes you think are suitable and some bare feet and your teacher will help you at the class.

Something easy for the kids to move around in is best such as leggings and a singlet. A ballet skirt and leotard is fun and cute if you have one but not essential.
